How to Import Sales Opportunities
How to import sales opportunities:

Your data file should be in a comma seperated file (CSV) format. Next, your file should contain the following required data fields for import:
*Required 1. Opportunity Name - The name should be unique for each opportunity.

*Required 2. Customer Name - This can be either the display contact name or the organization name.

3. Status - Values for field: Forecasted or Not Forecasted

4. Sales Stage - Use values that are currently contained in your account. For example: 04 - Proposal

5. Win Probability - Values can be whole numbers. For example, 50 for 50% probability, Do not use 0.50.

6. Currency - Use values that are currently contained in your account. For example US Dollar

7. Close Date - Values should be formated as follows: 10/20/2004 or 10/20/04.

*Required 8. Product Category Code - Values from your Product Catalog in the system.

*Required 9. Product Name - Values from your Product Catalog in the system.

10. Quantity - Number value in unit represented by the product and product category (above, 8, 9).
*Required 11. Amount - The revenue amount represented by the currency (above, 6). This values should not be formated with commas, for example, 1,450.95. Should be formated as 1450.95.

The required fields are necessary for a complete sale opportunity. The required fields highlight their relationship between opportunity name, the related contact/organization and the products. In addition the products contain an amount/value and quantity.
